My name is Ashley Hernandez and I am a missionary intern with Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship. I grew up in Texas and was saved in college at Texas state University where I first got involved with Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship.
After graduation, I served with Chi Alpha overseas in South Korea for two years and now I am preparing to serve with Chi Alpha at UCDavis.
God has given me a love for ministry and a passion to reach university students! Just as He sent people to me when I was a student, I too have a desire to be sent to students and share the love of Jesus Christ on college campuses.
God put people in my life who cared for me, prayed for me, and showed me that my life has worth. I believe that there are many students who go on campus not knowing who they are or that they are even loved. There is a need to show students that they don’t need the things of this world to be whole, but in fact they need Jesus Christ. Since 2016, when I was saved, I have had so much more Joy living in Christ than I did before. It isn't easy but that is why we have one another to help encourage each other in our walk with Christ. Sometimes we are the only Jesus people encounter. So we should try to be Intentional, Genuine, and outreached focus as we go about our day.
