Who are we
Chris and Jenny Barnard. We have 3 kids: 2 boys and a girl: Aeron (born 2010), Elliot (born 2015), Ashke (born 2023). We got married in 2007 and since then we have been in ministry in one way or another. For the most part Chris was a youth pastor and worship leader at a church in Pretoria and went on many outreaches locally and out of South Africa. We were missionaries in Zambia from Sept 2019 to Sept 2021. While there we worked mainly with the church leaders to equip them so that they can equip their members. We then returned to Pretoria for a year and while we were visiting family in George, we got connected with Ethnos Movement International and join the organization in Oct 2022.
Over the years we have been exposed to many outreaches and God has placed it on our hearts to see people draw near to Him. Sometimes it is in the form of evangelism and other times through relationship and encouragement of His people. It has been difficult to find the balance of doing missions, but also being involved in the church. Now that we are with Ethnos in George we have the privilege of being part of both.
What do we do
We have a pastoral function in The Well Church which is part of Ethnos. Chris is head of the worship and sound team of the church.
We are part of the training team in Ethnos with the Ethnos Missions Training course.
We are involved with overseeing the students. We are part of outreaches, discipling and mentoring.
We are also part of the Core Leadership Team of Ethnos Movement International.
And then last but not least, Jenny oversees the boys' homeschooling.
Our vision
We want to live out the great commission of making disciples of all nations and for this season it is by equipping others to be sent as well as encouraging those in the field. Helping them, strengthening them, loving them so that they can go out. We also want to see the church equipped to be part of this mission.
