Clinton and Pahtyana Moore have each served in pastoral ministry for nearly 20 years, 8 of those being in international missions work. They are passionate about coming behind and alongside ministry leaders to equip & release disciples of Jesus Christ. Through their experience serving as pastors, missionaries, teachers, ministry coaches and as an Executive Director with Habitat for Humanity, they bring a unique mix of ministry and strategic thinking to all they invest in.
The greatest desire they share is not only talking about Jesus, but looking for creative ways for people to directly encounter the Love of Jesus in a tangible way.
As missionaries commissioned and sent by The River Ministries in Colorado, they served in equipping and mobilizing the Kenyan Church for 6 years. This ministry focused on leading Kenyans to: encounter Christ in a culturally relevant way; to equip and release every member of the Kenyan Church to participate in the work of the ministry; to authentically engage their surrounding communities by bringing the love of Jesus Christ in practical and tangible ways; and to equip and release Kenyan disciples who go and make disciples who make disciples across the country.
This work was conducted through a multi-tribe, multi-denominational disciple-making network across the country. In 2019, this Discipleship Network transitioned from a mission to operating solely under the umbrella of the local church in Kenya and is currently led and supported by Kenyan leaders.
In 2019, the Moore’s relocated their family to Thailand to continue working in leadership development and discipleship ministry.
In Thailand, the Moore’s are expanding their ministry focus to include working with not only local ministry leaders but equipping disciple-making ministries, missionaries and local churches across the country.
Coming Behind & Alongside:
The Moores focus on providing pastoral care and serving as chaplains to missionaries and ministry leaders on the field. Whether an individual feels discouraged and isolated or has just been asked to take on a new role of responsibility that they don’t feel fully equipped for, Clinton and Pahtyana make sure they are never walking alone and provide the spiritual support as well as the practical tools to help them flourish in what they are called to do.
Going Before:
Part of missions work is discovering what the needs and opportunities of the future are. In this role, the Moores work with other strategic leaders to analyze what the needs of the field are and will be in the coming years so that they can adequately recruit, train and mobilize effective cross-cultural ministry workers to meet those needs on a macro level.
This focus includes mobilizing Thai missionaries to effectually serve in the least-reached areas of their country and beyond. This strategic insight ensures that ministry can be fruitful both today and into the future.
