Dan and Dawn MacKinnon
Africa Inland Mission — 1388 Norview Cres, Ottawa, ON K4A 1Y3, Canada
My name is Dan MacKinnon. I was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, on Canada’s east coast and have pastored churches in Ontario since 1983. I have been a pastor, an adjunct professor, a mentor, a speaker in leadership conferences in India, and have been a conference speaker. I consider myself to be a wounded healer who loves to help others position themselves before the Lord for healing and loves to help people take the next step in a deeper walk with Christ, while at the same time being an advocate for the work of global missions. I also have a YouTube channel called Life ReBounding featuring short devotional reflections. During the warmer weather I act as chaplain for the Ottawa Titans of the Frontier Baseball League.
I have been married for 41 years to my wife Dawn. I have three adult children, fou grandchildren, all of whom live here in Orleans ON.
I am currently serving as Mission/Church Liaison for Africa Inland Mission Canada, where I work with churches and pastors seeking to be blessing to both, while representing the mission. As Mission/Church Liaison I am responsible to develop relationships of value added benefit between AIM and Canadian leaders of local churches, enabling them to be able to increasingly fulfill their Great Commission Potential.
In particular my duties include:
1. Represent the mission to churches, and churches to the mission; speak in churches, with missions committees or interested groups; share at mission conferences, and have a number of seminars available for churches, bible colleges, and conferences.
2. Seek out potential ministry candidates, connect with them, walk with them as able, and pass them on to a Provincial Mobilizer for administrative follow up;
3. Kingdom Ministry: Come alongside Pastors/Leaders as a friend, encourager, and mentor as God allows.
Missions have been a part of my heartbeat since I was a young believer and with Africa Inland Mission Canada I get to do the things I do best, namely, working with pastors, speaking in churches, advocating for involvement in the Great Commission. Having pastored for over 40 years I know the challenges, heartaches, and joys of ministry and believe that I have something to offer to those doing ministry today. My strongest gifts have always been in preaching and teaching and through AIM Canada I get to use those gifts to encourage and inspire where I have opportunity to speak.
As my position is dependent upon support your donations help me help pastors, churches, and individuals by coming along side them, where they are, as I seek to help them take the next steps in their relationship with Christ, in their calling, and in fulfillment of the Great Commission.
