Meet Grant & Anne-Claire Freake. Grant hails from Labrador City, Newfoundland & Labrador, while Anne-Claire is from the beautiful province of Quebec, Canada. Married for 30 years, they served as senior pastors in a bilingual (English/French) church in Quebec City, Canada for 25 years. They are blessed with three incredible children.
Grant has a passion to see leaders and young adults discover God's heart for them. He was been involved in community development, served as a short-term military chaplain and has been trained in life coaching. On the other hand, Anne-Claire has pursued a bachelor’s degree in education and is an accomplished author, speaker, and life coach. Grant and Anne-Claire are passionate about serving government leaders and their staff and are missionaries to the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa, Canada and use their expertise and experience to help those who lead and serve as members of the Canadian parliament.
ENGAGE - We take an active role in learning more about our elected representatives and understanding their duties and responsibilities.
PRAY - We pray for all our elected officials from every party, believing that when God blesses them, He blesses all of us.
SERVE - We stay mindful of ways that we can better serve our leaders and communities through prayer, service and relationship.

Our Strategy
We are relationally focused and function as a Ministry of Presence, and serve 4-5 days a week at the Canadian Parliament.
We provide crisis support. We are often the only spiritual presence in their lives in these times.
Act as an impartial, non-partisan sounding board.
At every opportunity, we gently point people to hope, faith and life in Jesus.
We are donor-funded, we do not solicit government funds to have a greater impact with all members of the Canadian parliament.
Our Work
We are pioneers in the field of Legislative Chaplaincy and are the only ministry in Canada solely focused on caring for politicians' spiritual and emotional needs. We believe well-supported leaders provide better governance than those who are not. We provide regular, ongoing contact with members in both formal and informal settings. We are available to serve on a 24/7 basis. We proactively engage with members whenever possible. Additionally, we present our work in churches and to other groups when opportunities arise.
Your Impact
Your giving helps us maintain a consist and vital presence at the Canadian Parliament, as God has been opening doors for us to minister to members of the Canadian Parliament and their staff since our arrival in Ottawa in the summer of 2024. We are blessed to have the opportunity to mentor staff members, support members of parliament during family crisis', grief, etc. We are completely donor funded, so your giving helps us as full time missionaries continue this vital ministry, and care for our daily needs.
Current Prayer Request
After a short 45th session of the Canadian of Parliament, Members of Parliament have returned to their home constituencies for the summer. Our work of fundraising and sharing about the ministry in local churches will be our main focus during the summer, plus a few weeks of much needed vacation. Please pray that we raise our full budget support before the reopening of Parliament in September.
We will also continue ministering to MPs and their staff by phone and video calls, and in person with staffers who will be in Canada's capital city of Ottawa.
Also pray that the relations made with MPs and their staff will grow over the summer.
We also met new MPs during the last session, pray that they would be open to receiving our ministry support when they return to Parliament this fall.
