Youth With A Mission — Kailua, HI, EUA
Hey, I’m Mariah.
I serve full-time with YWAM Kona, and I’m part of a movement called Revival & Reformation, a ministry that’s all about seeing hearts and whole societies transformed by the gospel.
What does that look like?
For me, it looks like empowering young leaders, training and discipling them to walk in truth, and sending them into every sphere of culture: from government to media, from villages to cities , carrying the heart of God with them. Because revival isn’t just about powerful moments; it’s about lives changed, culture redeemed, and people walking in intimacy with Jesus in every part of life.
I’m especially involved in two key areas:
One of the ways we’re starting to share the vision of Revival & Reformation is through a podcast, which is one of the projects I’m involved in. Media, in all its forms, has the power to shape culture. We’re using the podcast to communicate the heartbeat of what God is doing globally in missions, inspire young leaders to rise up, and carry a message of revival and reformation wherever they go. The podcast is just the beginning, we have so many more ways we plan to reach and empower people.
Another project I’m involved with is Oral Mother Tongue (OMT), a movement birthed within YWAM. Through Revival & Reformation, we are addressing the injustice that less than 2% of mother tongues have the Bible translated. It’s heartbreaking, but we’re committed to changing this. By bringing the Bible to oral cultures in their heart language, we’re helping bridge a massive gap, allowing people to truly know God through His Word. We believe that through knowing the Word of the Lord, people can be fully discipled and transformed. We are part of the movement to make this injustice known and to mobilize others to join us in taking action towards a solution.
There are a lot of things I do on the ground: lead teams, go on mission trips, film and edit, preach, disciple, plan, teach, but at the center of it all, my prayer is simple:
Jesus, be known. Be loved. Be followed.
And let me be faithful with what You’ve put in my hands.
If you’re reading this, maybe God is stirring your heart to partner with this journey, through prayer, financial support, or just staying connected. It matters more than you know. This isn’t a one-woman mission, it’s a family effort. Every bit of support you give is seed into lives being reached, trained, and sent.
A few long-term things I’m praying for:
A strong base of monthly partners so I can fully focus on ministry without being in constant survival mode
Continued growth in character and accountability: to reflect Jesus in public and in private
Wisdom and clarity for the next steps in ministry
Deep, consistent intimacy with the Lord, and a heart full of love for others, always.
If you’d like to be part of this somehow, I’d love to connect.
We’re building something for the next generations.
And I believe this generation is rising up to carry revival and reformation, in every corner of the world.
With love,
Mariah
