One Collective — XG9C+89 Chorente, Santiago de Compostela, Spain
Hello!
I am a missionary working with One Collective in the northern city of Santiago de Compostela, Spain!
As the Director of Voces Mujeres (Women's Voices), I organize and lead women's support groups for women.
I conduct discussions and workshops such as soap-making classes to build community and relationships. One Collective highly values relationships as a priority and stepping stone to help others and share Jesus's love with them. This allows me to better provide and connect the women to physical, mental, and spiritual resources. I am continuing to network to connect with more non-profits to expand the program's resources. The main goal is to empower and encourage the women in a setting where Jesus is shared through loving, serving, and being a vessel to represent Christ.
I also tend to other needs of those in the city by teaching English to immigrant women and making farmer's baskets through a One Collective project that supports local farmers while providing affordable, fresh produce to locals and marginalized populations (Gypsy/Romani population).
What Led to This
In 2022, my life flipped upside down. This is where I really found Jesus as my Savior. After fully accepting Christ, my passion to live actively as a disciple and surrender grew stronger.
When my life changed, it led me to move to and work in Omaha, Nebraska where I worked on the Refugee Resettlement Team for Lutheran Family Services. There I helped refugees and Cuban Paroles become self-sufficient in the United States while facing countless obstacles and trauma. This solidified my heart for working in multicultural settings while helping people transition and become self-sufficient.
I am grateful to have this opportunity in Spain that combines my skills and passion for Christ!
