Bible Pathway Mission - Liberia — Liberia
My name is Philip Borbor Joshua, and my wife's name is Jessica Joshua. We have four adopted children and are dedicated to raising and caring for orphans as part of our ministry in the Lord Jesus. Since 2006, God has called us to plant churches and reach the unreached. We have established a home-based church in Monrovia and are reaching many souls—especially children—through educational initiatives, discipleship conferences, and revival meetings in Liberia.
Our nation is one of the poorest in the world, filled with people who have lost hope. There is an urgent need to bring Jesus to the people. Many orphans, left homeless due to the Ebola crisis, COVID-19, and a 14-year civil war, are living on the streets without care. Millions go to bed hungry as our nation’s economy has collapsed entirely.
I am deeply passionate about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and caring for orphans and vulnerable children through education. In 2013, we established a mission school that currently serves 100 orphaned children. My heart's desire is to see these children sponsored, raised in the Lord, and given an opportunity for a brighter future. I long to build more schools and establish orphanages throughout the nation. I am also praying for the Lord to send workers to join us in this mission field for Christ.
If we can find partners to support our ministry, their contributions will help spread the gospel to the unreached, sponsor children to be raised in Christ, and provide them with an education that will impact countless lives. Every dollar given will go directly to supporting the orphans and the ministry as a whole.
Prayer Requests:
Please pray for the completion of our school building, as our children are currently attending classes in an unfinished structure.
Pray that God will provide the resources to build an orphanage, so these children will have a safe place to live.
Pray for food provision on the school campus, as well as benches or chairs for the children to sit on during lessons.
Ask the Lord to provide a means to support our teachers with stipends for their dedication to educating these children.
Pray for the new churches we have started to plant and for the necessary building materials to complete them.
Pray that we can train and send pastors to lead these churches and reach new areas.
Pray for transportation, such as motorbikes, for our pastors to travel to unreached areas with the gospel.
Pray for the desperate and impoverished families in our congregation who urgently need food and medical assistance.
Pray that we may have food to provide to those who come to worship, as this hospitality ministry will draw many more souls to Jesus.
Pray for Bibles to be available for free distribution during our discipleship conferences. There is a great need for Bibles here—new or used, in any English version.
