Thank you for considering us! I am Ron Dodge and I have been married to Katie since 2006. We have three children. We have been accepted as missionaries with the Kentucky Mountain Mission after answering the call to full time ministry last year, during the time in which I was the youth minister at First Baptist Church in Richlands, NC. I am a current student at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, have been a police officer for 19 years, and was an active duty Marine for eight years.
God continues to provide as we are currently raising support to go join the team in Kentucky. Each missionary there is independently funded to be there and we are required to be 100% funded before we can go. We started support raising in April 2022 and God is awesome and faithful. We are praying to leave next year and need prayer that support continues.
We are in contact with our supporters already by sending quarterly update letters. This will continue throughout our ministry for the time the Lord has us there. In obedience to His Word, my prayerful intent on joining this team is to be taught by those who have gone before me and to share the gospel with those in Beattyville, KY and surrounding areas. I hope to be placed in the jail as the missionary assigned there as well as reaching out to men/fathers to begin small group studies and Discipleship.
Many facets to KMM and numerous types of involvement to support the local churches in the area by providing for spiritual and physical needs. Opportunities to come help us will also be mentioned in the letters.
