THE VISION-THE MISSION:
College students are searching for their identity. Many students do not know they can find peace and purpose in making Christ Lord of their Life. Cru helps them learn that instead of placing their identity in school, the social scene, or their performance, students can know the persistent and sacrificial love of God that brings freedom as they place their identity in Christ alone. Students with a firm foundation in Christ will then draw other students to Him.
The Cru mission is to “Win, Build, Send.” Together, we can have a hand in what God is doing on 20 college campuses throughout the South! Thanks to your generosity and prayers, the Cru mission can be fulfilled to:
Trust God to win the hearts of students as we share the Gospel;
Build students and staff up in their faith; and
Send students out to “win, build, and send.”
I build new staff and interns up in their faith and equip them to build their own ministry partnership teams for financial and prayer support, so that they are ready to be sent out to win students to Christ.
MY ROLE: MINISTRY PARTNER DEVELOPMENT COACH
Every Cru staff member raises up their own team of ministry partners to come alongside them financially and prayerfully. When someone joins staff, they commit to three years of ministry and receive a coach that teaches them how to build up their financial and prayer support.
Through weekly video calls I shepherd New Staff by teaching them how to walk with God and invite others to invest in their ministry.
Once New Staff reach their financial goal, they are sent into the mission field at one of 21 college campuses across the South! It is always hard to say goodbye, but a joy to send them out to make Christ known
I am also pioneering a new role as the Cru Intern Coaching Specialist. Interns commit to a year of working for Cru and, historically, only have the summer to raise their financial support. In this new role, I will work with interns year round to train them to maintain the financial support that they build up over the summer. I also lead and equip our interns and intern coaches each summer. This summer we sent 34 fully funded interns to 13 college campuses in our region!
