Hello!
May the peace of the Lord be with you. My name is Timothy Grunstra. For the past six years, my wife Jamie and I have called Laramie, Wyoming, home. Together, we are raising our two boys, William (3) and Callum (8 months). While Jamie is currently completing her supervised hours as a counselor (LPC), I serve full-time with Solid Rock Outdoor Ministries (SROM).
SROM is a wilderness ministry dedicated to helping people step away from the noise of life to reconnect with God, others, and themselves. We lead small groups into the deep wilderness—through backpacking, rock climbing, and mountaineering—as a catalyst for discipleship, leadership development, and spiritual transformation. It is a joy to see students find peace, rest, and clarity in the backcountry.
For the last eight years, I have had the privilege of instructing these courses and managing our Admissions department. My role is more than just administration; it is a ministry of presence. I walk alongside individuals as they discern God’s direction, listening to their stories and praying with them through their decision-making process. Whether someone joins a course or realizes it isn't the right fit, I am passionate about seeing people discover their identity in Christ.
