Zavier Waggoner
Trans World Radio
My name is Zavier Waggoner and I recently graduated from Harding University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Theological Studies. I am working with Trans World Radio (TWR) in West Africa for 9 months at a radio transmitter site. This transmitter site provides numerous unreached people groups with Biblical teachings in their native languages. During my time at college, God put on my heart to pursue a mission trip after I graduated. I was looking for an opportunity that utilized my engineering skills as well, and TWR provided just that. After hearing about some of the stories of how God has changed peoples' lives through TWR broadcasts, I'm excited to be part of their mission of using radio to minister in areas where missionaries may difficulty getting into. I will be serving as an engineer on site, ensuring that power entering the transmitter is clean and also performing upkeep and maintenance on the generators and other mechanical systems on site. If these duties are neglected, it could affect the radio airtime and programs may not broadcast effectively to listeners who yearn for biblical programs.
