Disbursements
Disbursements is where grant staff record fund releases against a board decision, keeping them within the delegated scope the board authorized. Reach it from Grant Compliance.
Recording a disbursement here does not move money — it is an internal ledger that tracks releases against the delegated cap. (Salary reports draw their "sent for salary" figures from the organization's actual donations, not from this ledger.)
Recording a disbursement
Select the Board approval that is the source of the delegation. The page then shows the delegated scope for that approval — and any monthly cap — or warns you that no disbursement authority was delegated. Enter the:
- Reporting period (for example, 2026-06),
- Amount,
- Method, and an optional Note.
Click Record disbursement. A release that exceeds the delegated cap, or that is recorded against a suspended or terminated decision, is rejected — those require a fresh board decision.
The disbursements ledger
Recorded disbursements appear in a table below with the grantee, period, amount, method, and time, along with a running period total. This ledger is the evidence that releases stayed within the board's delegated authority.
